I know exactly how you feel. I have had PCOS for over 10 years and went
from doctor to doctor to find out what was wrong with me. They had no
answers. Most thought it was purely a cosmetic problem. In my twenties
I was very slim, had no facial hair, and had very full thick hair on my
head. I am now in my mid thirties and am over 200 pounds, have a lot of
facial hair and have very little hair on my head. If I hadn't read an
article in a womans magazine I would still not know what was wrong with
me. We have just started to treat it. I know how hard it is when no
one else in your family is going through the same thing as you and all I
can tell you is to be very persistant. If you don't get results with
this doctor go to another. Don't wait as long as I did, the symptoms
can really change the way you feel about yourself if you leave it as
long as I did. Be persistant!
Good Luck,
Winona
