I want to tell every woman that reads this forum..The best thing you can do is EDUCATE yourself on the Use of Metformin (Glucophage). There are doc's out there that do not want to prescribe the met because they think it will make you diabetic or other things. Check out http://www.ivf.com and use their search on pcos. This is a doc that is up to date on his research and he treats with Met.. What I did was make print outs of everything I read on PCOS and MET... I took them to my doc, for she did not want to prescribe and after reading all I had, she was eager to give me the MET. It is not that these docs don't want to help you, some just don't read up on the treatments. Find a doc, that if they don't know, they are willing to learn along with you... Educate yourself and it will help alot.. PRINT EVERYTHING!!!Just in case!!! Good Luck and God Bless, TracyP
