Re: always hungry

Have you guys noticed that met/glucophage affects your appetite? I've been on Gluc xr for a little more than two weeks now, and my appetite is way way down. I mean sure, I enjoy my meals, but I only get hungry when I actually AM hungry, and I have no cravings for munchies. And I was the queen overeating and snacking. I can look a brownie in the eye now and not flinch.

Yeah, oatmeal sticks with me too. I've never tried any of the candy bar type supplements, cause I think that they are, just candy bars, that someone's making a fortune off of. My theory is that snacks that have tons of fiber stick with you longer, cause you system has to work harder to digest them completely.

And of course, there's always the "fool your stomach into thinking it's really only thirsty, not hungry" and drink water trick. Sometimes, actually, I am just thirsty, not hungry. And drinking water is A Good Thing.

How about a cheese snack? Protein and some fats so it will stick with you for a while?
