I started taking glucophage in April 03 and along with lower carb diet and excercise I have lost 40lbs. I am in better condition now than before I had my kids. I firmly believe that it is the medication that has helped me but with alot of determination to lose the weight. I weighed 249 lbs on 2/21/03 and now I am at 208 and losing steady. I workout about everday for one hour doing cardio and weights. What a difference it has made. I have more energy and am looking forward to getting to a healthy weight after many years of failure. ONE more thing eat breakfast weather you want to or not and drink lots and lots of water. Good Luck
