Re: Birmingham Cardiac DietFrom: Pam (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed, 10 Sep 2003 16:57:12 -0500 (CDT)
I tried the diet in 2000, after my orthopedic doctor gave it to me. I had knee surgery and needed to get some wieght off fairly fast. After having my tibia removed he told me he would give me the diet when I went in for my 6 weeks post op check up. It worked and I not only lost pounds but it seems the inches did better then the pounds. I live in Ga. and he told me this was a diet that they used to get heavy people to lose some weight before heart surgery. I found a diet similar with different choices some time back but it didn't work like the original one. I hate tuna but I made it through a few weeks and I actually got to the point where it was hard to eat (all) the food. I looked earlier today on the internet and couldn't find anything, so I am glad I found this, by accident. Thank you
