Hi,

I haven't written to this forum before, but searching through old posts has helped me a great deal when I first was diagnosed with PCOS.

What surprises me though is the focusing on the severely low carb diets. I have been advised to follow a low G.I diet, whilst also going to weight watchers. Doing this i lost about 12kg, but still have about 6kg to go. Things slowed right up once i went on the pill (diane35 - went on it once my periods had regulated themselves for contraception). I've found low g.i to be pretty flexible once you get into it, and you can still follow weight watchers, because that's pretty flexible too, i just don't follow their menu recommendations. But apparently even weight watchers are now distributing info about the low g.i diet.

I had all the typical symptoms, irregular periods, severely overweight, insulin resistant, etc.

Anyway good luck with it all!
