YASMIN, METFORMIN, SPIRO!!!! For what it is worth: Hi, I have had PCOS for years. I got pregnant after 3 attempts at in-vitro. This was after taking clomid (100) for months and injections w/o any luck. We thought this baby would be all we would have and felt lucky just to have the one child. Anyway, after starting to aggressively treat the PCOS with zero help by meds, I actually considered the gastric bypass surgery. At the time I was on 2500 metformin, Yasmin, and spiro. I was on this "formula" for about 7 months. The very month of the surgery (about 1 week before) I found out we miraculously conceived! I shocked ALL my doctors: Endocrinologist, Primary Care, OB/GYN and Midwife. I am due in October! I later found out from my OB/GYN that it was a newer fertility treatment to put the woman on metformin and BC for a few months and then stop and immediately begin clomid. I was doing a fertility treatment while not knowing it! I really thought I would never have another baby. In fact, we bought our home with just the three-person family in mind. I would love to see this happen for you because I know the hurt of trying and getting nothing. I have been to the baby showers and pasted on smiles for everyone else's babies. I saw your age and some may think that is young. But if you are having problems now, at your age, I would STRONGLY advise that you go aggressive on this one. You don't want to be my age (34) and worry about a biological clock added onto any other problems. I really wish all the best for you and anyone reading this.
