I need help! I was diagnosed with PCOS when i was about 27. I was depressed, lathargic, had hair loss, and gaining weight rapidly. I never had a problem with my period except that it is real short. i have no idea if i can have kids but my goal right now is to get control over my weight (and hair loss but i think that is from other meds too) . I have been on Metformin for about 2 years. When i started the medication i had no appetite and I was always in the bathroom (sorry). I weighed about 270 and lost about 50 pounds without even trying. It seems that my body knew that it wasn't supposed to wieigh that much. Now...... I am still on Metformin but my appetite has returned and i am scared. I work out almost everyday. I ride my stationary bike for 20 to 40 minutes depending on my daily schedule and i also do 10 to 20 minutes of floor work. I now gain weight easily again no matter if i exercise or not. Sometimes i get on sweet binges that go for days or even weeks until i have to start to 1000th diet. I am getting to the point that i don't care. I thought the days of severely craving sugar were over, but i am a prisoner once again. It's like my body has a mind of its own and i don't have the control to make the right decisions anymore. I am very sad about feeling out of control. i want to weigh 150. I don't think this unreasonable but how do I do it? I weigh about 215 and i wear about a 14/16. i gain weight very easily. Did i mention that my sister has PCOS and weighs 453pounds? She just had the gastric bypass. I am so glad she will finally have a life. Please send me suggestions. I am exhausted of trying but i won't give up. staci
