Starting the Herbalife DietFrom: Cheryl (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed, 2 Jul 2003 19:40:09 -0500 (CDT)
Hello, I am 24 years old and have had PCOS since I began puberty. My periods were never normal and I had tons of hair growing on my stomach. I thought that it was just normal to have a "treasure trail" down there but when I started seeing my friends and getting made fun of by the boys, I realized that something was wrong with me. Anyways, I was always involved in sports growing up so my weight was pretty much under control 5'4 135-140. I was athletic. Well, I went to college and stopped doing sports. I was ok the first few year, didn't gain much weight and felt good about myself. All of a sudden I had gained about 30 more pounds. I am now 5'4 and 167. I am on the BC pill Yasmin and have began to have my periods every month. I don't have as much hair all over my body. The only thing is the weight. I can't lose it. My father has just started this Herbalife weight management program and asked me if I wanted to try it. It is kind of embarassing because by him asking me it made me realize that I do have a weight problem. Anyway, I have just begun it. I have been on it for about one week. I am very curious to see if it works on me. I will let you all know the progress of my weight. If it does work I would like people with PCOS to know, because right now it has been very easy to follow. I never get hungry. They provide you with the snacks and drinks, so if you do get hungry you have a protien bar (which tastes very good). Before I was on this I tried doing the protein bar thing and it was so gross. Anyway, I don't have much time right now. But I will write later... Thanks, Cheryl
