Re: Cholesterol & PCOSFrom: anonymous@obgyn.netMon, 16 Jun 2003 12:19:56 -0500 (CDT)
Hi I came across your mail whilst doing a google search for PCOS & CHolesterol. I just wondered if you knew the difference between Polucystic Ovaries and Polycystic Ovary syndrome as you have quite a new dx. You mentioned that they discovered your polycystic ovaries while doing surgery. Many, many women have polycystic ovaries but it becomes polycystic ovary syndrome when three of the other symptoms are present aswell this is probably why your Dr says he/she will just monitor it for the mo. I noticed you sent this mail some time ago and wondered if there had been any developments? In answer to your question, it is very rare for PCOS to cause pain, it's most probably your endo. Take care Abbie Paxton
