I would be grateful to know what has worked for you. I would like to see if I can get anything new out of it. I have a nearly identical situation, at 22 I was 5'6" (sturdy bone structure) and weighing in at 150. Believe me I looked great. Already started having the the facial hair problem and lack of mense cycle. After exhausted tests and getting a final "Hormonal Imbalance" diagnosis a year later I started gaining weight with the Hormone therapy. I quit the therapy when I topped the scales at nearly 200. I knew something more was wrong but it took another 10 years (60 more pounds) and a Women doctor to agree. By then my both ovaries are crystalized and I can't have children. I shave daily now. I will be having a hysterectomy once I can get to my goal weight. In 6 months I have shed 40 lbs thanks to medication, Lactose intolerance (newly discovered) and increased exercise. I pretended I was Diabetic so as to avoid becoming one. The lose is plateauing for longer each time which can be very frustrating. I only have 60 more to lose so I can have the surgery and balance the hormones being released erraticly in my system. I have started peri-menopause at the age of 33 and take high dose progesterone to force my cycle so I don't develope Endometirosis or Uterine cancer. I'm off the medication that made it all so easy with no appetite and use old fashioned will power. Just trying to shed some of that excess Estrogen ruining my blood sugar balance. Please send your plan my way. I see if it can ad to what I've done. I keep trying to find the PCOS Diet book but its never available up here. Very frustrating. Any help would be great thanks in advance Elizabeth Dee
