Some suggestions to complement Angela's nutrition listFrom: Anna (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu, 8 May 2003 21:26:22 -0500 (CDT)
Here's what I do right now: - Breakfast: Oatmeal (NOT THE INSTANT ONE), wheat grain with flax (Uncle Sam), or light wholewheat bread (I eat Orrowheat light 40 calories / slice) so I can eat 2-3 slices. Sometimes I have cheese-on-toast which gives the extra protein (since I am vegetarian). I have often found that my blood sugar raises a lot with KASHI cereal although they seem nice, healthy and tasty. - I have fruit usually apple or something as grapes and alike are very sweet. as a mid morning snack - Lunch and dinner: huge bowl of salad, 2 carbs with tons of vegetables and 1 protein - Afternoon snack: cottage cheese / fruit I have a question however about Smart Balance - I use it right now and its great but I have heard of Benecol and Take Control. They however contain partially hydrogenated soybean - so I am not sure if its good or not. I don't like PAM as it smells and have found an alternative, to use my regular light virgin olive oil but get one of those spray bottles which convert your oil of choice into a spray . With this I lost about 10-12 pounds but now I feel a little stuck as I don't seem to be losing more now ..
