Hi, My name is Lynn and I am 27 years old. I have not been diagnosed with PCOS by a doctor, but I know that I must have it. I have had irregular periods since they first started when I was 17. Since that time, I probably get my cycle about 3 months out of the year. I haven't had one this year though. I am miserable because for some reason, I keep gaining weight. I am 5'3 and weight 191 pounds, and I have always been a very athletic person. Now I just feel fat, which leaves me sad a lot of the time. I have an excessive amount of dark and coarse facial hair on my cheeks, neck, chest and stomach. I despise shaving my legs because the hair grows back so fast. I have been plucking my hairs off my face with tweezers for the last 3 years and now I have dark spots on my face. I went to the doctor recently but he just told me I probably have a horomone imbalance and I had to do some blood tests to check my horomone level. That was last week and I haven't heard anything about my results yet, although I call every day. I just really frustrated at this point. I don't have any money to see a specialist, so I have to go where I can afford the services. Right now, I am trying to incorporate Slimfast into my diet, and in a week I have managed to starve myself and lose 0 pounds. Just Great!!! I am so tired of being fat. I am so tired of trying to get pregnant and nothing ever happens. If you have any type of diet that I can try please let me know. I am desperate. If you have any information that I can take with me to tell my doctor so he can give me the correct diagnosis please tell me. I would be forever grateful to you At Tue, 6 May 2003, Christina wrote: >
