-- I just saw this while doing a search for something else. I hope you have received enough information by now to know that birth control pills can definitely cause weight gain. teh pill was designed t trick your body into believeing it's pregnant--and what does a woman's body do when it's pregnant? It keeps more fat around to protect the baby. In a nutrition course I took years ago, the instructor referred to al hormones as "lypogenics"--I think this means they cause the body to retain fat. It is arrogant for any doctor to tell you that simply dieting and exercising will help you lose wight when they've put you on a lypogenic.
