I was diagnosed with PCOS in my early 20. I've never been overweght, but all other symptoms are present. My main consern was to get pregnant, so my doc put me on Metformin.  After just 3 months of therapy 2000mg/day I became pregnant with my sun.
He was born nine months ago and he is the most wonderful baby ever.  After I gave birth my periods are more or less regular (30-40) days.
Do not loose hope! If you are PCOS diagnosed and desperate to become a mother, give METFORMIN a try. It works wonders!
