I have been prescribed this - feb 2003 in INdia - however i found in a magazine that finasteride is not supposed to be taken by womne because it actually blocks hormones that interfere with hair growth, ie, is precsribed to balding men! I did read though that in HIGHER doses it is used to treat an enlarged prostrate and so maybe its ok to be used by women suffering from pcos? i will ask my doctor about this tommorrow. anyone with info please email me at tia_21@hotmail.com... cheers!
