Hey Danielle! I also go to the New School in NYC- good to know that there are people near by. I slowly gained weight over a period of 5 years, but at that point I didn't know that I had PCOS. Because you know, the best thing you can do is just stick to a healthful diet that includes reasonable amounts of complex carbs (anywhere from 90-150g of carbs per day). Just watch the junk food and you should be fine. This will also help with the cravings and binge eating. Simple carbs tend to satisfy you for a short amount of time, but then can make you ravenous which, in turn, leads to binge eating. Please feel free to email me if you want to chat. I also have a wonderful OBGYN in the city who works with a lot of women with PCOS. Be well Angela powte88@aol.com
