We have a video to watch, SCRAMBLED A Journey Through Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome. It is a documentary video by Randi Cecchine. Scrambled is the story of the filmmaker's experiences living with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome, a complex medical condition affecting 5%-10% of all women. The 41 minute video incorporated the stories of 11 other women with PCOS and highlights consultations with various medical practitioners. The video has excellent reviews, and I encourage all that are able to do so come to this meeting.

April 2003 Minneapolis PCOSupport Meeting

Date: April 3, 2003 Time: 7-9 p.m. Place: Fairview-University Medical Center, Dining Room A (East Bldg, 1st Floor). Directions: http://www.fairviewuniversity.fairview.org/river_drive.asp Fee: $3, but no one will be turned away if they can't contribute Subject: Integrating the Mind, Body, and Spirit to achieve healthy weight loss. Two medical professionals from the New Day Weight Management Group will present some compelling information of how losing weight involves the whole self. They will present methods to cope with the challenges of dealing with depression and the hormonal issues that plague the woman with PCOS. They promise to also make this a very interactive and fun presentation. New Day's clientele is 90% women so they are very familiar with the specific issues facing women and specifically those with PCOS.
