Hi,All!
I am 27 years old and have a 4 yr old son. My hubby & I are ttc baby
#2. This is how I discovered the possibility of something that I
have suspected for some time...PCOS. Feeling a little relieved that
some treatment was available and I would hopefully be ovulating
again, I anxiously awaited my labs. I called a few days ago and the
nurse said that all y levels were "within normal range". How could
this be? I have every symptom there is: hirstuism, weight gain, carb
craving, low sex drive, discharge, irregular or nonexistant periods,
lack of energy, mood swings. My last doc tested my thyroid, but no
hormones and put me on Prometrium to induce menstruation each month.
This, of course, did NOT insure ovulation. My new doc immediately
recognized the symptoms as PCOS, but labs do not confirm it. Sorry
to be so lengthy, just need some advice. Also, I am sure that most
of you are familiar with ovulation testing kits. On day 28 of my
cycle, using my 2nd ovulation kit, I think I had a positive result.
Usually, 1 line is much fainter than the other, but this time, they
were similar in color. I would say the same color, but one band was
wider. Also, felt feverish for a few days and had a dull pain in one
sied for about 3 days or so. Is it possible that I ovulated on ly
own? Isn't that late in a cycle to ovulate? COuld the pain have
been a cycs? Does anyone know what may cause a false positive
result? I apologize for all the questions, just had a few very
confusing months and don't know what to think. ANY and ALL opinions
are greatly appreciated.
Thak You,
Julia
