Hello I always watch this message board and felt i should add my 2 cents:) Everyone seems to be promoting these fad diets, and diet pills(which usually have bad side effects to your glucose levels) I wanted to share with you my story.

I am 29 yo female and up until march of 2002 I had never heard of PCOS, I am extremely overweight and up until this year have failed in losing weight. I started taking metaformin in march of last year. I felt sick for a few weeks, and it didnt seem to get better, then i saw an article on the internet about sugar intake and metaformin. I cut sugar Completely Out of my diet and stopped drinking soda of any kind entirely. I began this around june of this past summer and have now recorded a loss of 42 lbs. I am eating smaller and having more energy and dont get sick anymore to my stomache. I now have the energy to go out and walk even jog lol and i think its because of the no sugar diet. I still eat carbs but not in large doses, i think small portions a few times a day seem to fit my body well. I dont know if this will work for everyone, however i hope that you will all see as I did , there is no pill that is going to fix things, there is no fad diet that will be a wonder los! s, its all about you yourself and what works for you. But here I have given you how I am doing it, good old fashioned healthy eating and excercise.

Good Luck to everyone

Jennifer
