Yes! I tried lowering carbs for about 6 months and my hair started falling out, so I certainly wouldn't reccomend that. However, I recently lost 50 pounds on WW and it's made all the difference in the world. Symptoms are much, much better. I'm still taking Yasmin, but I'm off the metformin/Glucophge, and I have the diet to thank. WW teaches you to eat right, and even if you don't go to the meetings, you can still be successful. I'm 22 -- I can identify with the challenges of cafeteria food, but it can be done. She can even eat out. She just has to learn what and how much she can have. I would be happy to visit with you or her. You can email me at jules_asu@yahoo.com.
