I have had PCOS for 9 years. Last March we came to the end of the rope. The doctor told me the only thing left was a procedure called Ovarian Drilling. My ovaries are so covered with cysts that eggs cannot pass through. Well, I had to sign a release stating that this would destroy my ovaries and I said fine. We had tried everything else anyway. Good news is that it worked! I am 2 months pregnant after trying for 9 years! PLEASE make sure that this is NOT what he is talking about. This is a LAST DITCH effort and never should be done without exhausting all other fertility methods. This procedure will not treat PCO/PCOS, however, you may have another problem that may be treated by laparoscopy, i.e. blocked fallopian tube, endometriosis, etc.

THe difference: PCO-no symptoms of PCOS just the problem in the ovary, PCOS-with symptoms.

I hope this helps.
