Re: Losing Weight - It's workingFrom: Jessica (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu, 2 Jan 2003 23:17:03 -0600 (CST)
I have PCOD and one thing that has helped with acne is Phisoderm. It isn't really expensive and you can usually find it at walmart. It has helped me alot. As far as the weight, that is the biggest struggle for me. Nothing seems to work. My doctor did have me on glucaphage (I think that's how you spell it), but I went off it because it made me feel sick all the time. It may be something to ask your doctor about. It is supposed to help with the insulin resistance that PCOD causes. Good luck. Although I was not significantly overweight, the weigh ins motivated me to remain on a good eating regimen and it help significantly. Not long after losing only 6 pounds I became pregnant.
