I am not a college girl - but I have had success with weight watchers! My first month I lost 18 pounds.

The one thing for sure is that it is worth a try - and relatively inexpensive. It will help her learn to keep track of what she eats - and also help her find low calorie ways to cover those late night urges we get. (I saw an article that said it is one of our "symptoms"!)

Since it is a low cost "weight loss program" - it is worth trying. Right now, even though I've only been on it for about 5 weeks, I feel better. First of all, because I lost weight over the holiday season (thanksgiving included), instead of gaining the 7 pounds the rest of the country did. Second, I feel better because I feel like I am in control, for a change.

I'd say, encourage her try it. Combined with her exercise program, I'd be willing to bet that she will be successful.

Of course, that's just my opinion. I may be wrong!
