Hi Teresa,

First wanted to say that my heart goes out to you. PCOS is a difficult disease to deal with. I was diagnosed in early '99 and I also fight to keep the weight off. The only thing that has ever worked me has been low-carbing. The hard part is to stick with it as much has humanly possible. In the past I was on meds to help my insulin levels and I couldn't low-carb with them either. Jennifer has the right idea about Gluchpage, but I recommend Gluchopage XR because it's time released. I have been taking it since the second week of October and I can actually low-carb with it. I am 10lbs. down and just 60lbs. to go...lol. My doctor says this drug is helping alot of woman who have PCOS become regular, ovulate and even conceive. My prayers go out to you friend!

Michelle :)
