Hi Andrea,I'm also morbidly obese. Two years ago I lost alot of weight felt better than in all my life! I was on a low carb diet. I ate veggies fresh fruits and lean meats. When I got hungry I ate broccoli with a dip made out of non fat sour cream, ranch dressing (low fat) and balsemic vinegar. Did water arobics and walked. Leave the starches &sugars alone! 1800-2000 calories per day. Then my dr. said I needed more carbs I'm diabetic. Within 9 mo. I'd Gained all the weight back, was sick. finaly after studying my food diarys the light went back on and now the weight is coming off once again! feeling great once again. You aren't going to learn a thing about eating right on a shake diet when you go off you'll just gain it all back. You have to find a eating plan you can live with for life, We have pcos for life.HOPE THIS HELPS
