Dear Jennifer Forgive my writing to you. I came across your message written 18 months ago on the PCOS diet board, relating Coeliac Disease and glucose intolerance when I was doing a search for glucose intol. Reason it caught my eye was the symptoms you relate of bad nights and dry mouth. It's probable that I have CD. (I'm not PCOS..sorry for barging in on this forum.) But I also have had, for the last year, this bizarre prob with the above symptoms after eating fruit or veg, or rice. (I have been gluten free for 3 months...and glucose free for 3 days!) Now it clicks.

I was just wondering whether you found any info that links the two..CD and glucose intol. Or any info generally. I haven't yet found anything which gives a clear picture of glucose intol which isn't related to diabetes. I did find Paula's response useful, but I'm looking more directly for a CD Glucose intol link.

Are you now gluten free AND gluCOSE free?

What also puzzles me is how I seem to be able to get away with lactose..which presumably also breaks down into glucose. The only way I can explain this is in the area or degree of villous atrophy, and/or the fact that I take lactose as in unpasteurised milk and it's products and therefore am taking in plenty of enzymes with it (fruit and veg have very few enzymes)

Many thanks, Sue
