I had resorted to get my weight down w/ Adkins. I do drink the Adkins shakes and I have droppde 25 lbs without excercise. I maintain w/ low carb diet and some excercise.

I personally have been avoiding beet sugar, cane sugar, flour, potatoes, and rice. Other than those things, I do not count my fruit or veggie carbs. I try to stay below about 20 processed carbs a day (not counting fiber). By processed carbs, I mean carbs in dressings, box foods, etc. I drink diet-drinks rarely, mostly relying on skim-milk and water. I also drink no-sugar added fruit juices. I haven't been watching my fat intake at all, or limiting my portions. Without all those processed carbs, I find that I can eat much smaller meals of meat, cheese and veggies and feel satisfied.

There are other diets out there including SugarBusters, etc. I don't think Adkins is a healthy diet, but I didn't think Fit For Life is within my grasp either. Have you been to the following sites?

http://www.soulcysters.com http://www.pcolist.org/ http://www.pcosupport.org/ http://www.inciid.org/faq/pcos1.html

Here are some Low-carb recipe sites also:

Also, loosing weight slower is healthier. I am loosing about 10 pounds a month, and my doctor is pleased with my progress.
