I have just been diagnosed with PCOD (aka PCOS), and I hope I can help
you by sharing my experience.
To determine why I have not had a period in months, my doctor did blood
tests and an ultrasound. This is how PCOD should be diagnosed - I hope
your doctor did the same.
As a treatment, it was advised that I start taking the pill. The added
hormones will help regulate the cycle so that the body knows it is
"time" to ovulate and then menstrate.
Talk to your friends about an alternative doctor, or get a 2nd
opinion...quick!
