Thanks Denise for looking into it further. It is an absolute joy to see that
others are researching and asking questions. I'd write and ask more. I have
written Dr. Mark Perloe, Dr. Charles Glueck and Dr. John Nestler before. I got
an answer from Dr. Perloe, never from Drs. Nestler or Glueck.
I hope ladies do get their calcium in some way. It is preferable to get it from
diet, but if you can't, at least get it elsewhere. Its always worth checking
what you get now first, before doing anything else.

Victoria - I too had a 100 questions to ask about this study. It does seem
interesting. I did some seaching and this study appears to be observational
"only". The lady who carried out the study is a specialist in NY dealing with
reproductive endocrinology, specialising in PCOS abd PMS. She as published a
lot on the later. Her surname is Jacobs as stated on her paper posted earlier.
I've thought of writing to her to ask more.
There is quite a bit of information on the net regarding calcium, magnesium and
insulin resistance. I have opted to take my calcium from milk and yogurt rather
than tablets. But each to there own. I think you have to have these minerals
in a certain ratio though, so I'd check on that.
Nothing ventured, nothing gained.
Best wishes
Denise
