Hi Sally, I found out I had hypothyrodism in October of 1998 and was put on Levoxyl. It is monitored closely, because my dosage keeps going up. When I told my doctor I wanted to conceive, she made sure the TSH level was at a acceptable level. I have checked out Mary Shomon's site. As for the PCOS, I was just diagnosed with it in May and am currently on 500 mg of Metformin taken after dinner. I haven't really gone beyond this, medically. I was told that I might not feel as hungry after I took the pill, but truthfully, I don't feel any different. I was going to start clomid, but the insurance I had didn't have any infertility coverage, so I couldn't afford all that was involved with clomid. I have just changed health providers and hope I have better luck.
