Yes, avoid the starchy vegetables, breads, pasta, potatoes, and eat lots and lots of the high fiber, low glycemic vegetables. It appears the low glycemic vegetables have lots of nutrients and benefits, and none of the problems associated with the higher glycemic foods. I am hoping eventually that we will divide carbs this way, so that when folks are talking about 'low carbs' and 'high carbs', there will be some clarification. I have come to feel there is NO benefit to pasta at all in my body. It is like Paste to me. Whole wheat breads, corn and peast do have some nutritional value and benefits. But, I am getting more and more stict in my own eating, as I just do not feel good eating some of these foods.
