In general, diabetic diets seem to work for folks. I try to focus on mostly low glycemic vegetables, avoid sugar, starchy carbs and empty calories. Many recommend much higher levels of carbs than you actually need. Aroudn 100 G/day seems adequate, and it the latest recommendation for folks that are carb senstitive. It really depends upon your individual situation what will work.
