Whomever wrote this... please please please....get a second opinion.

I had a Laparoscopy (through the belly button) last year. I had to be prepared for removal of my left ovary. I had 2 cysts... 1 was 7cm and the other was 5cm So, generally, same size as your one if you want to look at it that way. When I woke up... my angel of a dr had only Asperated the cysts... drained them so that there would be no damage to the ovary wall... Now, with one the size of yours, you may need a Laparotomy which is sort of like a C-section incision. Still... if the dr. is worth their salt... they will do everything to save the removal bf the entire ovary, unless it is already damaged...I guarantee you, no CT or MRI shows damage... only going in. Most of them do removal out of lazyness. Note, one caution i will give you, if the ovary stays.. for the rest of your life until menopause, you will have small pains in that ovary every month. Maybe you will be lucky, but I would rather have the pain than a 50% less chance to have a child.. I hope at least some of this helps. Be well and feel free to email me.
