Hi there, I too was dx as a teenager. I was about 12 when periods began and they were always irregular. I started taking bcp's and was on them for about 5 years. I then decided I wanted to see what would happen naturally and stopped taking them. My periods did come back ,albeit not every month, but they have started every month now, a few years on. All I can suggest is that you daughter doesn't take bcp's for years and years as my dr told me this was not very good for you. Also, a low/moderate-carb diet will help control her weight and in turn should help control the other symptoms. You can e-mail me privately if you would like any more info.
