PCOS and a great diet

I have known I had PCOS for awhile but it took until last week to find a Dr. However, my dad, who was recently diagnosed as insulin resistent went on Michael Thurman's Six week body make over. It is often on TV. My dad is 5"8 and has always been over 225. He went on this diet and in 10 weeks was down to 170. I've never seen him so thin. I went on the diet four weeks ago and have lost 12 pounds before even seeing my doctor. I had an initial weight gain of 40 pounds in six weeks 9 years ago and have gradually increased with each pregnancy. The doc said my labs showed I too was IR and also had classic PCOS ovaries. I have been blessed with five children but have a myriad of other problems. He told me with Met and Provera that my weight loss should start increasing. The diet is easy and I am never hungary. It is 3 meals and 2-3 snacks a day. The excersise program is tailor made for my body shape. Try it. It is worth the money. You can also find it at http://www.providalife.com. I hope this helps.
