I have tried this diet and its changes since 1995 and have been successful in keeping off 40 lbs for this time period. I lost 25 the first try and 2 years ago I lost 15 more when my spouse tried the diet and lost 40 lbs. Yes, you can gain your weight back if you go back to old eating habits and patterns. But all diets are that way. Weight watchers allows you to stay on it for life. It is a life change, not a diet! It is healthy eating!! Not a fad that can hurt your health if you stay on it for a year or more. Losing weight is not a fad, it is a life style change. If you are serious about keeping a healthy weight, then use a program that will keep you healthy long term. You didn't get to an unhealthy weight in one day/week/month. You can't expect to lose that weight in a day/week/month. I am a believer in this program because it has worked so well for me and more recently, my spouse.
