Jakubowicz is from Caracas, Venezuela. I don't know where Nestler is, or if they published together.

Big Oops! I meant to say that there are many causes for MISCARRIAGE, not PCOS. Personally, I do believe that the IR is the underlying root cause of PCOS.

There are plenty of willing participants here for those kinds of things. However, PCOS isn't high visibility, high profile, well recognized and understood. Therefore, even if there are people willing to conduct studies, it's hard to get the funding. Studies are quite expensive, and there are only so many dollars to go around. When other groups with stronger lobbying power are able to get more funding shifted towards their causes, it gets pulled away from others. And, with people using glucophage for an off-label purpose, there's no incentive to pay for expensive studies using it for PCOS. Sad, but a fact of life.
