Not sure if this will help, but I have been talking to a local
nutritionist regarding my own weight / PCOS issues, and I have found out
that diets like Atkins, Sugar Busters, etc. are not necessarily the
best thing for us PCOS'ers. There is a book, you can find in on
amazon.com, called "The Insulin Resistance Diet." It is EXTREMELY
helpful, as far as IR goes and really provides a healty balance of carbs
/ proteins / fats / etc. It also provides some good recipes. My only
advice is to read the book cover to cover. It can be a little confusing
at first. Hope this helps! - Allison
