I guess my question is....have you been losing weight ? If you are losing weight with what you are doing, I would stick with that. Some of the fat grues feel you can eat as much healthy fat as you wish. I'm not certain that I agree, and am trying to modify my fat intake, as I probably eat too many nuts, etc. The theory is fat and protein are satisfying, and you can then pass up the carbs, and your body does just fine. I think calories do matter, but I think it depends upon your success with what you are doing, which sounds very healthy. Many of the plans are reasonably cautious with the fat. For example, The Zone encourages 40-30-30 as a balanced way to eat, and not so heavy on the fats. I know some on this list will swear by eating lots of fat, but that doesn't always work for the rest of us. I too am trying to seek the correct balance between fats, carbs and protein. Pat >
