Hotdogs and cold cuts usually have sugar and starchy fillers in them. However, kosher hotdogs (I get Hebrew National Reduced Fat ones) don't have that problem.

In my opinion, shrimp are fine. Lots of protein, no carbs (virtually). They are low in fat, but high in cholesterol, if you're watching that.

Peaches are a fruit, not a veggie. We have to be careful with fruits and choose the ones that have less sugar and enter the blood stream slower. Canned fruits usually have added sugar in the syrup, and the slight cooking from the canning process makes the enter your blood faster, with a bigger spike. Better to eat fresh, if you're going to have fruit.
