I had previously lost 100lbs. 50lbs of it I lost doing the Diet Workshop Diet and walking 3-4 miles and the other 50lbs was while I was taking Phen Fen and only eating about 500 calories a day. However when I stopped and eventually began eating about 1200-1600 calories again I gained all 100plus pounds back. I started on metformin in February and since then I have been able to loose 47lbs so far. I am also exercising, which I started with water arobics 4 days a week and now I am doing 45min on the bike and 35min on the rowing machine and 15min walking the treadmill then I go for about a 30min swim in the pool to cool off. But I have gradually increased this these times I think I started off with 20min on the bike and 4min on the rowing machine and walking for 30min. but as my energy increased I increased my work out. I highly recommend the metformin. It just come with the side effects of a lot of diareah (which isn't much fun but worth it to loose weight). I eat what ever I feel like having at that time. I have noticed that I don't eat as much as I used to and I am more active. Which makes me happy since I don't have to go off a diet or cheat if I want something bad for me. I just have it and not even think about it. I also noticed my cravings for carbs is not like it used to be, I don't think about sweet and such anymore. So, if you can tolorate the side effects I higly recomend you give Metformin a try.

Best Regards Caroline
