Re: I have PCOS and I have found an answer to weight loss! From: Pat (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu, 4 Jul 2002 09:42:11 -0500 (CDT)
In my book 'whole foods' would be those foods that are the closest to natural you can get. Vegetables and fruits, and unprocessed foods. Pasta is sort of synthetic...doesn't grow anywhere. Bread is made from combining things, cereals the same. So, as close to nature as possible. Folks usually do not have problems with these foods. Some vegetables are in the middle, like corn, beets, peas and winter squashes. These are 'starchy vegetables' and also contain sugar, so have a higher impact than things like lettuce salads, zuccini, onions, etc. So, Fruits and Veges instead of processed foods. Some folks can tolerate breads and cereals, but others need to avoid these also.
