Re: glucophage use with normal insulin levelsFrom: Bob (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon, 24 Jun 2002 12:17:11 -0400
Actually, if your glucose levels are normal, it is okay to take the glucophage. There is no risk of hypoglycemia (low blood sugar) with it. -----Original Message----- From: anonymous@obgyn.net [mailto:anonymous@obgyn.net Behalf Of anonymous Sent: Monday, June 24, 2002 9:48 AM To: Multiple recipients of list PCOS-DIET Subject: glucophage use with normal insulin levels Hi everyone. Can anyone tell me if its okay to use glucophage if your insulin/glucose levels are in the normal range? I definately have PCOS (no period for 2 years, weight gain, excess hair), but my blood test came back normal. My endo ( a dim bulb at best)said to check out glucophage on the internet and gave me a prescrip. Anyone know anything about its safety ?
