Actually, if your glucose levels are normal, it is okay to take the glucophage. There is no risk of hypoglycemia (low blood sugar) with it.

Hi everyone. Can anyone tell me if its okay to use glucophage if your insulin/glucose levels are in the normal range? I definately have PCOS (no period for 2 years, weight gain, excess hair), but my blood test came back normal. My endo ( a dim bulb at best)said to check out glucophage on the internet and gave me a prescrip. Anyone know anything about its safety ?
