Re: Bariatric Treatment CentersFrom: Mark (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue, 18 Jun 2002 20:27:33 -0500
My husbandhad a surgery that went wrong and we still are suffering the effect of it 1.5 years later. That aside, I will try diet, exercise and meds. first. I'm no longer 100 pounds over weight. I know my friend has to limit what she eats so can I. I view the surgery as a quick fix with high risks. My Endo did want me to consider it when I was DX'd in March. I have had success with out it. Do your research to make a wise choice. Wishing you well. Clara
> ----- Original Message ----- If you don't mind me asking, what are the reasons why you don't think you will consider the surgery?? Nicole
> ----- Original Message ----- I have a client that had the stomach surgery about a year ago. She lost over 100 pounds. I had mentioned PCOS to her and she said before the surgery her doctor had talked about Glucophage. She hadn't thought of it until we discussed symptoms. She called her Sister in Calif. who went to the doctor and also was dx PCOS. But the most exciting news she stopped the pill and with out trying is now 2 months PG. My own doctor suggested surgery and I don't think I will but I can see my Clients results.
