Re: Original Weight Watchers' DietFrom: kena (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue, 28 May 2002 20:05:40 -0500 (CDT)
Pat, they don't really tell you how many carbs to eat. But there is a pamphlet that you get (I think it may be for week six) that explains why you need to eat the "right mix". (Meaning carbs/proteins). I doubt that they will be going towards low carb - because I don't think that the "general population" would adapt very well. Even if Weight Watchers doesn't go "low carb" the great thing about it is that you are completely in charge of what you consume. If you have PCOS you can make the changes to suit your low carb needs. The same could be done if you had high blood pressure, diabetes or cholesterol. Basically my point is that a diet doesn't have to be "designed" as low carb for it to work for us.
