Syndrome 'X'

Has anyone on this Board been referred to as having "Syndrome 'X'"? It's my understanding that Syndrome X is an umbrella term for middle aged people who have a lot of abdominal fat, develop diabetes II/insulin resistance and lead a fairly typical sedentary American-diet lifestyle. PCOS with it's accompanying insulin resistance is not that, as I've understood it. Anyone else pondering this? - Kristi
