Hi,

Diane can be useful for symptom reduction - in particular skin and to some extent hair problems. However, it does take about 6 months for the results on hair to be obvious - skin benefits are quicker.

Are you insulin resistant? If so, you may wish to ask your dr about insulin sensitising medication such as glucophage or metformin - or in any case do some research and decide if you would like to try these or not.

In any case, a lower carbohydrate diet and plenty of exercise (or as much as you can manage) should also help. Though in the case of exercise some women find their symptoms get worse rather than better for a while, particuarly if they are losing weight (perhaps because hormones are stored in fat, and losing weight will release these hormones into your system). However the benefits of exercise will far outweight the negative aspects.
