Have you read the book? She does make a few references to this way of eating being beneficial if you have PCOS (only she calls it stein-leventhal syndrome which is the old school name for it...) which is something I find i impressive... she makes a lot of sound arguments throughout the book. I have not "followed" this diet but it ranks high up with the other diet books that I picked and chose from to figure out an eating plan for myself... I definitely recomend it. SHe has two cookbooks, too... I have the veggie one and keep meaning to get around to getting the regular one. at the time i bought it i was determined to go lower-carb and maintain vegetarianism. I have since given up being vegetarian and have seen benefits from doing so. I can't really recommend the veggie cook book because it really seems to carby to use easily, in my opinion.
