Hi!

Your last reply was good. There are many low-carb "programs" out there. I'm currently doing Atkins. You are looking for a "reasonable" program. That depends on what you think "reasonable" is. Many women with PCOS (including me) have to drop our carbs quite low in order to lose weight. Right now I'm in the Induction phase of Atkins. In the Atkins diet you start on a very low amount of carbs (only 20 grams) for about two weeks and then work your way up to a level that you can still lose weight on. Everyone's level will be different depending on how metabolically resistant they are. Some people can eat a lot of carbs and lose weight and some cannot. You can buy the book at any bookstore for about $5 or on Amazon.com. I also get support and recipes from http://www.atkinsfriends.com. This is a great site. They have boards like this one where people who are low carbing can get support and share info. I've met quite a few PCOS ladies there. Anyway, below I have listed a few sample menu ideas for each meal. Remember, I am in Induction which is the most strict level of the program. No pasta, bread, sugar from any source, potatoes, etc. Remember, I will not always be this restricted! I do not find this difficult to follow at all. I'm always satisfied. Feel free to e-mail at anytime! God bless! Tera jasonandtera@att.net
